Okay, so where’s the best place to put lead tape on your paddle? Here are the different weight distribution options I have found to be most effective from all my experiences.

1. Paddle Face

My primary focus is on the central paddle face, which is the area where lead tape is applied most often. Adding weight adds power, so I start by putting strips of tape on the lower portion of the face at the 6 o’clock position. This adds mass to give shots more power and drive.

Adding lead tape can also increase the sweet spot, widening the area where the ball can be hit with the most power and control.

Then I gradually add more tape higher up on the face at the 7-8 o’clock area to continue increasing weight and stability.
