The Future of Pickleball- Major League’s Bold 2024 Revealed
Major League Pickleball announced its most expansive schedule yet, lining up 11 tournaments across North America for the 2024 season.
The circuit, presented by Margaritaville, will kick off in May and run straight through to December, offering fans monthly doses of pro pickleball action. There will be one event per month from May to August to start before ramping up, with two per month from September through November.
Venues secured span from coast to coast, taking in traditional pickleball hotspots like Atlanta, Washington D.C., Grand Rapids, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, New York, Virginia Beach, Las Vegas, and Miami. This will expose more fans than ever before to the sportโs top talent.
That talent includes MLPโs record 24 teams, divided into 12 clubs at the Premier level and 12 challengers. Each team is guaranteed to play in at least four tournaments throughout the season.
The season will culminate in December with playoff rounds. The top finishers from the year-long standings will battle it out in a two-stage postseason, with the first stop in Dallas and the championship final in Orlando.
While further details on specific event dates and locations remain, MLP CEO Jane Smith expressed excitement for the expanded โworldwide showcase of pro pickleball.โ Fans are now urged to clear their schedules for what promises to be the leagueโs most ambitious campaign to date.
More news on the 2024 MLP season will be released soon. But itโs clear now that pro pickleball is only growing its reach in the new year.
